THE NORTH COAST

Black sand.
Endless Atlantic.

Seixal’s volcanic beach, green mountains and dramatic coastline set the scene for days at a different pace.

These are our own photographs: the sea through the trees, the changing light and the coastline that first drew us here.

THE PLACE

A new chapter.
Deep roots.

Tucked into Madeira’s north coast, Barefoot Cliff is a collection of stone terraces, mature trees and gardens overlooking the sea in Seixal.

We’re bringing this place back to life with care. Our vision is simple: small gatherings, time outdoors and experiences shaped by the people who come here.

Led by a CEO with nearly 30 years of international events experience, the Barefoot team is creating thoughtful stays, wellbeing programmes and small gatherings in Madeira.

Let’s create something together ↗

Accommodation and camping are not currently available. Any overnight programme is subject to the necessary authorisations and facilities.

BEFORE YOU VISIT

A few things to know.

Can I visit or stay now?

Please enquire before travelling. The site is in development, with no walk-in opening hours. Visits will be confirmed individually when suitable. Overnight stays and camping are not available.

What is access like?

The gardens have steps, uneven ground and steep areas. Tell us about any access needs before arranging a visit so we can discuss whether the route is suitable. Wear secure, closed footwear despite our name.

Where are you, and what if the weather changes?

We’re in Seixal, in the municipality of Porto Moniz, Madeira. Arrival instructions are shared for confirmed visits. Outdoor plans depend on weather and site conditions; arrangements will be agreed directly.

Are the images photographs of finished cabins?

Images labelled “concept” are AI visualisations of proposed facilities. The original photographs and short videos show the real gardens and surrounding coast. Cabin and deck designs can change.

Can I book Valentine’s week now?

We welcome enquiries for 13–20 February 2027. The price and programme are proposals. Paid reservations will open only once delivery arrangements, facilities and booking terms are confirmed.

Is this couples therapy?

No. This is a proposed leisure and wellbeing retreat, with optional activities and private time. It does not offer relationship therapy or promise health outcomes. All adult couples are welcome to enquire.

BE PART OF THE BEGINNING

It starts with
a conversation.

A future guest? A retreat host? A creative with an idea? We’d love to hear from you.
